Oscar's Multi-Monitor taskBar

I run a twin monitor (dual-head graphics card) system both at home and at my office. One card is a high spec Nvidia card, and the other PNY. The Nvidia has some nice application integrated tools for switching apps to the alternate montior, the PNY card has none.

Having found this neat, and free, tool, I'm now test driving it on both systems. The tool gives me a task bar on both monitors, and minimises apps to the appropriate monitor taskbar. It has a tidy little option that adds a small icon to an apps title bar allowing you to "throw" the app to the other monitor.

Java Gmail Application for the Blackberry 8700

An updated Java based application's now available from Google for handhelds. It looks nicer, and appears to be pretty fast too. One downside I have noticed is that the current version doesn't allow me to switch my "send as" address when composing an email.

Trusty Google Talk continues to add expected features, the neat aspect is that offline messages addressed to you appear in your Gmail account.

Google overtakes Channel 4 in ad revenue

Google overtakes Channel 4 in ad revenue Jason Deans Wednesday November 1, 2006 MediaGuardian.co.uk Google will make more money from UK advertising this year than Channel 4 according to Andy Duncan, the broadcaster's chief executive. Mr Duncan told FT.com that Google UK's ad revenues for 2006 would be around £900m, overtaking Channel 4 for the first time. The broadcaster's ad revenue for the year will be around £800m, he added.
